This company was established in March 2017. Today their principal office is in Geneva (Founex), Switzerland. They operate internationally and work with clients worldwide but focus on emerging and frontier markets primarily, but not exclusively, in Africa (Zambia, Tanzania, DRC, Ghana, Nigeria, Mauritius and DRC).

In addition to serving their clients, this company engages and contributes to ongoing policy-focused debate at seminars and conferences (most recently the Africa CEO Forum; UNECE People First PPPs etc.), as well as delivering capacity building PPP and Impact Investing training courses and knowledge sharing presentations to international clients

Impact Investment Internship

Internship Description:

They are looking for a talented young professional to join their growing ESG Advisory Services Toolkit Services unit;

  • Reporting to the Managing Partner you will support the ESG Toolkit marketing and delivery processes across SMEs and Large-scale enterprises operating within different Impact Investment thematical sectors and geographic zones (Africa and Europe)
  • Updating the database of SMEs in various African countries
  • Populating the database of SMEs with new companies based on their strategic partnerships with economic support organizations (accelerators) in Zambia, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya
  • Participating in the delivery of the ESG Toolkit for SME / Large-scale enterprise clients
  • Assisting the Managing Partner with the preparation, marketing, and execution of their SIIA Impact Investment Circle webinar series focusing next on the Kenyan Impact Investment Ecosystem
  • Assisting with the Business Development and Marketing of their ESG Advisory Services for both small, medium, and large-scale companies
  • Assisting with the drafting of grant fundraising applications to Foundations; Commercial Banks and Development Partners (donors & DFIs) for the delivery of the ESG Toolkit for SMEs

Internship Requirements:

  • University degree (Masters/MBA) from a leading university; ideally a Master degree related to Corporate Finance; Development Economics; or Marketing
  • Direct (impact-) investment experience a major plus
  • International experience especially from the Global South
  • Strong business development acumen, including marketing of advisory services
  • Attention to details and pro-activity
  • Outstanding communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent level of English written and spoken.
