Internship Position:

Marketing and Communications Internship

Internship Description:

Supporting the company in increasing brand visibility, networking, and developing an online audience:

  • Research & preparation of Facebook and LinkedIn posts to populate a content calendar
  • Content curation: preparation of imagery and video for social media posts
  • Scheduling and management of posts across platforms
  • Monitoring and analyzing the success of social media outreach
  • Engagement with our social media communities around our posts, their messages, and queries
  • Creating PPT proposals to send to potential clients
  • Updating and developing website content using WIX
  • Mailing list management and email support of community using tools like Mailchimp
  • Supporting administrative duties

Internship Requirements:

  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of marketing and communications. A marketing or communications degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience
  • Pro-active approach
  • Knowledge or interest in Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication
  • Fluency in English, with an interest or background in learning Chinese
  • Open communication skills to be able to reach out to new persons online and build relationships
  • Assumes responsibilities and initiative, ability to troubleshoot and keep calm when faced with a complex matter
  • Passion for copywriting and creative expression
  • Interested in design and technology
  • Experience and interest in using social media platforms for community engagement like Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Proficient in Wix (can be trained)
  • A design-oriented person has a grasp of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign
  • Practice or a willingness to use video editing software: Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or even iMovie
  • Ideally with experience in using online community engagement tools like Mailchimp
