Kristin – New Intern in Zhuhai

Nǐ hǎo!My name is Kristin Mueller and I am the new intern in Zhuhai.
To give you an idea about who I am and what my interests are, I’d like to share this quote with you: “Never underestimate the power of passion”. I am a music-lover, globetrotter, foodie, sports-devotee, photography-enthusiast, and in general enjoy challenges a lot.

A little throwback
Growing up in a small city in the country side of Germany, I always wanted to see more of the world. Different cultures fascinate me, therefore I have already travelled to a few countries within Europe and went for a one month student exchange to Columbia – which is a small city in Illinois, USA – during high-school.
Straight after my graduation, I decided to enrich my cultural horizon further and went to Australia for a work’n’travel gap year – the land of “no worries”, kangaroos and wonderful, laid-back people. Downunder was definitely a rewarding experience, even though, or maybe especially because I was working 70% of the time there.
The next destination on my list was Groningen – the world’s bicycle friendliest city. I did not regret one day moving there. It is an amazing student city, has a lot to offer, but at the same time has a very chilled vibe – and no that is not because of the coffee shops there 😛 The choice of studying IBM was probably influenced to a great extend by my student firm “active-viva”.

And here is why I came to Zhuhai:
As part of my study programme I was aiming at an internship which would give me the opportunity to gain more work experience, develop my personal skills further, and again widen my horizon.
I’ve been in Zhuhai for less than a week, but I’m already convinced that InternChina will engage and push me to find exactly those aspects during the next 6 month. The IC team welcomed me very warmly and made me feel comfortable.
My first impression of the city is fantastic. I’ve already enjoyed the famous Tsingtao beer, amazing food and had the opportunity to explore some of its country side – we did a legendary hiking trip to a waterfall close by. There is much more I would like to discover and I cannot wait to dive deeper into the Chinese culture, the language and my tasks at IC.

If you want to join our IC Team, I am more than happy to help you out where ever possible during the next 6 month. Apply now
