Pagoda Projects are proud to be delivering a two week manufacturing and Chinese language focused study tour, in Zhuhai, China. This programme is for Engineering students or those interested in Chinese language and manufacturing or procurement from China.

Participants will take part in visits to leading, international companies with a focus on engineering processes, product design, manufacturing, quality assurance and project management. Students will be provided with the opportunity to witness operations first hand and receive presentations from representatives of companies such as US Stock Exchange Listed ‘Flex’, prestigious British high-end audio equipment manufacturer ‘Bowers & Wilkins’, German aircraft engine maintenance company ‘MTU’, FDA approved hydration and outdoor gear supplier ‘Weiguo Solutions Ltd’ and many more. Companies will present to students and offer tours of their manufacturing and testing facilities, with special perks such as sound testing rooms, aircraft engine testing center and talks from Corporate, Social, Environmental Responsibility departments. Students will be exposed to how engineering theory is put into practice by being integrated into challenges and objectives of the companies they visit. Students will associate with leaders in their field and establish a network of useful China-based contacts.

In order to gain a full understanding of China and Chinese culture, participants will receive 20 hours of mandarin Chinese lessons aligned with recognised HSK or, Hànyǔ (Chinese) Shuǐpíng (level) Kǎoshì (test) 1, which is the most recognised Chinese proficiency test in use today. There will also be cultural sessions delivered relating to Tai Chi, calligraphy and cooking, delivered by professionals in these fields.

Our partners may opt to offer our scheduled, open tours to their students with no minimum numbers, or discuss the delivery of this study tour exclusively for your students with complete flexibility on dates, duration, activities and theme (subject to capacity and availability). Our program consists of a guided group project focusing on the engineering, supplier and manufacturer side of international business. Students will develop their understanding of how products make their way from concept to consumer through a series of guided events, workshops and visits. The program culminates with students presenting a consultancy project to an expert panel for assessment.

Participants will receive a thorough exposure to the manufacturing environment of leading international companies operating in China.
