This week we had an InternChina event! We decided to have a Roller-Skate Party and we found a place in Zhuhai where you can roller skate until 2 am for just 8 RMB (not even 1 euro)!We met a 7.30pm to have a nice dinner together with the interns and then proceeded to the roller skate place, which was like an outdoor disco with music and disco lights. It was like back in the 80ies!!!

The skates were included in the price and you could even choose between roller skates and inline skates. Of course I chose the roller skates, otherwise I wouldn´t feel like partying in the 80s.  After not having stood on skates for about 8 years now, you can imagine how scared and how wobbly on my legs I was. Thankfully at least half the group felt the same way. The rest were pros though.

So in the beginning, the professionals were holding hands with the beginners. The Chinese people were so nice and they were all trying to help us. We were really thankful and I was so lucky that I didn´t fall. Of course Morgan had to try some new stuff like skating down a pipe and she fell twice! There were no injuries but it was quite funny.

Everybody had a lot of fun last night. We were watching each other fall, some of the interns had good moves on their skates and of course we were dancing on skates because it was a roller-skate disco. My dancing, however, mainly consisted of holding the rail with one hand and waving the other hand to keep my balance.
Everyone enjoyed the party thoroughly and the interns suggested to make it a weekly activity!
