Hi, everyone. I am the new intern at InternChina, Chengdu office. My name is Ting Yuan. My friends call me Sophie. Seven years ago, I left my hometown Chengdu to study in University of Media and Communication. And then went to University of Exeter in England, which gave me greatest memories I can cherish for a life time. After I come back to Chengdu, I find a brand-new Chengdu completely different from the one I remembered—a city can be described as ‘Gao Da Shang’—an acronym for ‘gaoduan (high end), daqi(classy),changdangci(high grade).

Life attitude of Chengdu’s people are known as positive and slow pace. People who live here used to fancy a cup of Chinese tea and all day ‘Majiang’. But recently, people in Chengdu especially white collars who usually work under pressure start to care about their body conditions as what western have started years ago. Young men try to spend hours in gyms in order to bulking up to 16 stones and girls prepare to work out better body shapes and abdominal muscles as well. I used to be too lazy to do exercise meanwhile dreamed to have a nice body shape and healthy life style. After being forced to go to gym quite frequently by my gym enthusiasts friends, I gradually fond of keeping fit and discover another fantastic way to fill my life with positivity. So if you really want to get into new life style in Chengdu, you probably should not waste your gym member card and join healthy life with me in Chengdu!

Shopping, or even window shopping is the most popular way for girls to spend time with friends, and I’m not exception obviously. Established itself as a new city landmark in the western China, the mall also kicked off its giant panda art and charity crossover project to raise awareness of protection of pandas.
